I built this because nobody teaches people how to do it.

Hi, I’m Joe. In 2009, I graduated from business school with a six-figure salary and $100k of debt. I bought a house, two cars, and a motorcycle, traveled, and lived lavishly.

Spending all that money helped me cope with job stress and look successful, but I was living paycheck to paycheck and trapped in a job I didn’t care about.

When I couldn’t take the emptiness anymore, I liquidated, sold, rented out, opted out, and odd-jobbed my way completely completely out of debt in seven months. Then I took a pay cut to work at Apple, where I found actual success and fulfillment.

Apple’s supply chain is where I developed my operations expertise and realized that managing money has a lot in common with managing iPhone supply: Both are connected systems with finite resources, competing priorities, and choices that affect everything else.

I used that clarity to map my cash flow with intention. We eliminated our mortgage, saved enough for retirement, contributed to our kids’ college funds, and eventually gained the freedom to walk away from my 13-year career at Apple—all while raising two young children and enjoying the life we were building.

I built Cashographer to give other families the same clarity. With it, they can see the whole picture, decide what matters most, understand what each choice means for the others, and build a system they can actually run.

Ultimately, it helps them put their money where it matters.
